Drop In Family Open Gym

Pop into the Rec to shoot some hoops, throw a frisbee or just run around! This program is intended to give Rochester families a convenient, indoor location to be active with other families and have fun. Please wear non-marking basketball court shoes so we can keep our beautiful gym floor looking good! Please bring your photo ID to prove residency.

DROP IN MAXIMUM: To ensure a safe, fun experience, Drop in Family Open Gym does have a maximum participation limit. If the gym gets too crowded, it becomes difficult for everyone to play safely. Once we reach that limit, staff will close the program to drop ins. Please feel free to call ahead to get an idea of how busy the program is (603) 332 4120.

SPECIAL NOTE: We understand that the community loves being in the Rec Gym. We try our best to accommodate local organizations and sports teams with their own designated practice times. Family Open Gym is intended to increase community access to our gymnasium and is not intended for organized sports practices; this includes so-called captain's practices or similar. Thank you for your support and understanding!

AGE: Open to Rochester youth (under 18) and their favorite adults (18+ family member)! Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult family member who is 18+ and adults must be accompanied by a minor (family member under 18). Please bring ID to prove age and residency.

DAYS: Sundays, Sept. 2025-May 2026

TIME: 12pm-3:30pm

LOCATION: Rochester Rec Center Gymnasium

REGISTRATION: No pre-registration required. For Rochester Residents. Sign in with Rec Staff upon arrival. Adults 18+ will provide proof of residency at sign in.

COST: Drop in FOG is a free program.
