Rec Counselor in Training Program 2026

The Rec Counselor in Training program is an educational and recreational program that helps teens develop the skills and attributes necessary to be a successful summer camp counselor. The program will focus on team building, service projects, and outdoor activities. CITs will work with counselors, administrative staff, pool staff, and other members of the community to learn the ins and outs of being a summer camp counselor. Applications are required and will be accepted on a rolling basis (see notes section for the application). Applications may be submitted to the Rec office at 150 Wakefield St, Suite #1 or by email to jeffrey.turgeon@rochesternh.gov. To explore this collaboration or for additional resources, please contact Assistant Director Steve at Steve.trepanier@rochesternh.gov.
