Teen Travel Camp Overview
Teen Travel Camp is a one day a week, 7-week program for teens ages 14-15 years old (or 13-year-olds who have completed 8th grade*). Each week, staff from Rochester Rec and Rochester Police Department will chaperone campers on a trip to local attractions for a day of fun, engaging activities. The Rec Van will depart from and return to the Rochester Rec Center. This program is in collaboration with the Rochester Police Department.

Please note, department programs are subject to change. Published program information is intended to give our community an idea of the general scope of the program.

Program Eligibility
Rochester Residents ages 14 (or has completed 8th grade*)-15
Space is limited.
*13 year olds entering 9th must be registered in-person if they will turn 14 after 6/25/25.

Camp Schedule & Hours
Weekly 6/26-8/13, NO trip 7/2
Trips will be on Wednesdays 6/25, 7/9, 7/23, 7/30, and 8/13. Trips will be on Thursdays 7/17 and 8/7.
8:00am-8:30am: Sign In at the Rec Center
3:30-4:00pm-Return to Rec Center (Return times may vary depending on trip)
Trip schedule will be emailed to parents when all trips are booked.

Camp Tuition
Camp tuition includes all transportation and admission fees associated with trips.
Tuition: $175 for the full summer

6/25 - Funtown/Splashtown USA
7/2 - NO fieldtrip
7/9 - NH State Park
THURS 7/17 - Isle of Shoals Boat Excursion
7/23 - Saco River Tubing
7/31 - Smitty's in Tilton
THURS 8/7 - Gunstock
8/13 - Hampton Beach State Park

Weather & Trip Changes
Weather can have an impact on our scheduled trips. We will try to keep to the schedule as much as possible, but if we do see the need to make last minute changes, we will send out an email as soon as possible to notify you of the change.

Teen Travel Camper Expectations
For a fun, successful summer, Teen Travel Campers must meet the following expectations. Please review these standards with your campers to make sure Teen Travel Camp is a good fit. Campers who do not uphold these expectations may be dismissed from the program.
• Teen Travel campers will be safe, responsible and respectful.
• Campers will have independent time in small groups while on trips and will abide by all boundary and time check-ins as laid forth by camp staff.
• Campers will not be in possession of or under the influence of alcohol, tobacco or other drugs.
• Campers will come to camp each with a positive attitude, ready to make friends and have fun!

Camper may bring a lunch or spending money to buy lunch on most trips. Some trips will require a bagged lunch as there will be no option to purchase lunch.
